The latest edition of Bridal Couture Magazine is out, and Joyce and Jake's gorgeous wedding is featured in it! Yeah! The magazine caters to couples getting married in the Central Valley of California, and if you can't get a paper copy, you can view the entire Fall/Winter 2011 edition online for free here.
Jeanna and Peter's engagement session brought me again to the beautiful Knights Ferry. We met up at my favorite time of day - early evening just before sunset, and I was in heaven taking full advantage of golden hour with these two. Many many thanks to Adm's dad and renowned photojournalist Al Golub who was on hand to help with the shoot. We had a great time exploring Orange Blossom Road, which had so many open fields, rustic fences, and moody (although somewhat mosquito-ridden) river banks. I can't wait to photograph Jeanna and Peter's wedding in September!
Ivonne and Brian were married at Ivonne's family church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto, before celebrating at the Washington Hotel in Knight's Ferry. Knights Ferry is one of the hidden gems of the Central Valley, en route to Yosemite when you're coming from the Bay Area, and it's definitely worth the stop if you're in the neighborhood. With guests mingling on the lush lawn, overlooking the Stanislaus River, and the sun shining brightly through the old Oaks, these two could not have had a more perfect day. They capped their day with a night filled with lots of dancing, one of my favorite activities to photograph!
