My friend April lives across the street, and she is by far one of the most creative people I know. I've solicited her help on quite a number of wedding related projects - most recently, she helped me make the backdrop and animal faces for Liz and Darren's photo booth (see below):
Masako + Ken in Rosemead, CA
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Masako and Ken's wedding reception in southern California. The two have been married since the beginning of the year so they didn't have a ceremony, but they wanted to do some portraits and celebrate their marriage with a fun reception amidst all their family and friends. We had a fun portrait session at the San Gabriel Missions, and followed with a super fun reception that included funky and crazy games.
Ken's father, second right, is in a band so they performed at the wedding:
thea + marc Rockin' the photobooth!
Thea and Marc got married Saturday in Altadena, CA (more to come on that later). We set up our first photobooth so this is something new that we're doing! I love the natural wood backdrop that was in the backyard, and I've got lots of ideas for upcoming photobooths to make them even crazier. I'm not going to say much because the pictures pretty much say it all. Awesome.

STEPHANIE + TOM Engagement Party
Stephanie and Tom had a small engagement party at Tom's parents' beautiful home in Modesto, Calif., last weekend. It rained all day and then let up in the late afternoon so that I had some really soft, beautiful light to work with throughout the party. Tom and Stephanie will be getting married this summer in Kansas.
