Alameda Point Rock Wall Winery Wedding // James + Mellodie
Weddings are all about love, but not just the love you have for the person you’re marrying. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is that we get to see firsthand how families love and care for one another. Mellodie and James’ celebration was a great example of families who love and support each other to the end, and not just blood family, but friends, their chosen family, as well. These two were loved on by their friends throughout the day - from moments just before the ceremony when all of James’ people individually toasted him privately to during the reception speeches when their siblings gave super sweet and heartfelt toasts.
James and Mellodie two were married in front of that stunning San Francisco skyline at Rock Wall Winery in Alameda, and even though Adm and I focus on photographing the unscripted moments, I have to say I loved their portrait session. Their venue is at the old naval base, and I’ve been wanting to take pictures there for a LONG time. I love the industrial look of the hangars and although we got kicked out multiple times by security, it was definitely worth sneaking in a few quick photos. Keep scrolling to see that gorgeous wedding party in front of the naval base walls… quite possibly my favorite wedding party shot of all time. Anyway, we know James and Mellodie have a solid life ahead of them with humor, dancing, and of course, lots of love.
